Department started functioning in the year 1984 for B.E. degree course with an intake of 40 students. Presently intake is 60. Department has started M.Tech. course in Microelectronics & VLSI Design from 2002 with an intake of 25 students under self finance category. The department provides research facilities for Ph.D. Programs.
