Under Quality Improvement Program (QIP), various workshops, seminars and training programmes are held for the faculties in order to motivate them and improve their teaching methodology. This year the Institute organized a one week short term training program for staff of this institute on the topic "Development of Basic Teaching Competencies", conducted by experts of National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research, Bhopal during 7/02/2005 to 11/12/2005. The objectives of this training was to - appreciate the need and importance of Learning and Instruction to make 'Teaching - Learning' process effective and efficient, to inform the learners about behavioral objectives, developing question-answer technique, content appropriateness, recapitulation of points covered, accesing the performance, giving assignments for practice, retention and transfer of learning, efficient use of media and material, delivery gestures and mannerisms etc. 

Another Workshop of two days duration was organised in the Institute under TEQIP in the month of February on 12th and 13th 2005.The Workshop was aimed at developing the skills for writting script to be used in the production of audio-visual learning material in the media centre of the Institute.
