  • Summer /Winter Schools, Seminars, Conferences Organized: 
  1.  18th National Conferences on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power Dec 1991.
  2.  ISTE Summer School on Design Production & Testing of Gears, July 1974.
  3.  ISTE Summer School on ?Reliability Based Design of Machines & Machine Elements, June 1984.
  4.  Symposium on ?Industrial Safety & Environment" Sponsored by M.P. Council of Science & Technology, Bhopal Sept 1987.
  5.  ISTE Winter School on "Alcohol & Alcohol Blends as Motor Vehicle Fuels ", Dec 1991
  6.  All India Seminar on Centrifugal Pumps & Pumping System 1995.
  7.  17th National Convention of Mechanical Engineers is proposed to be held in Nov. 2001 at Indore local centre of the Institution of Engineers.
  • A Post Graduate Course in ?Tribology & Maintenance Engg.", has been started from 1989 . Mechanical Engineering dept.. at this Institute. About 50 candidates completed this course successfully. 
  • New Laboratories Added:
 Following well equipped new laboratories have been developed in last 25 years:

    1) Material Science Lab.
    2) Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Lab.
    3) Tribology & Trigonostic Maintenance Lab.
    4) Computer Aided Design & Graphics Lab. 
    5) Vibration & Noice Control Lab.
    6) Theory of Machines Lab.
    7) Automobile Engg. Lab.
    8) Heat Transfer Lab.

 
  • A two week ISTE Summer School “ Multimedia Based Learning Material Development in Technical Education ” May 16-28, 2005.
  •  A two day National Seminar on “ Eco Friendly Technologies and Challenges for Mechanical Engineers ” organized sponsored by The Institution of Engineers (India) on 27-28 Jan 2006.
  •  A two day National Workshop on “ Technologies for Rural Development ” organized under TEQIP on 25-26 Mar 2006.
  •  International Conference on Recent Trends in Mechanical Engineering, ICRTME 2007 organized by Ujjain Engineering College and SGSITS, Indore under TEQIP, 04-06 Oct 2007.
  •  A one day Seminar was organized on “ Green Buildings ” under the aegis of ASHARE local chapter on 2 Aug 2008.
