Separate electronics and instrumentation Engineering Department Started in the year 1984 with an understanding that students may start their own business/Industry and enhance self-employment opportunity. Also, automation in Instrumentation was another concept, Which will help student in Hardware Software development for a large industrial environment. 

Performance of the students is very good they are scoring TOP in GATE and in campus interview also. Faculty members are guiding Ph.D. , & R & D project funded by AICTE, UGC, MIT/DOE etc.

Other Achievements and Academic Environments

• On an average 10 UG students qualify in GATE examination. The TOPPER of GATE-98 in Electronics Stream Mr. Pankaj Risbood was a regular student of this Department. 
• IMPACT- This department is one of the 15 Engineering Colleges participating in IMPACT Programme. 
• Commonwealth- Under this programme Mr. S. Pandit Sr. Lect. of this department has gone for Ph.D. programme. 
• QIP- 2 Seats for QIP students are reserved in M.E. course run by this department. 
• MHRD- A grant is sanctioned to Prof. Ajit Jain from MHRD. 
• Participating in IMPACT ,VLSI-DOE.
