Department of Applied Mathematics and Computational Science has celebrated National Mathematics day 2024 from 2nd to 3rd Janurary 2025.The event was funded by MPCST Bhopal and NCSTC, DST New Delhi.The program has started on 2nd January with inaugral ceremony. After the inaugral ceremony, Dr. Ranu Sharma was awarded by the Best Teacher award for her outstanding inputs in teaching and innovative research contribution in the field of education. Three expert lectures are conducted on this day to encourage students and faculties for their involvement in innovative research which can serve the society. Faculty Members and around 80 students has attended the event. After expert lectures some innovative activities were organized by the department for the students which include Mathematical Quiz Competition and movie show based on biography of Srinivasan Ramanujan was shown.
On 3rd of Januray the department has organized Poster presentation competition, Rangoli competition for the students. To judge the competitions, Nitish Gupta, Dr. Urmila Raguwanshi from the Deparment of Applied Chemistry and Mr. Suresh Paswan from the department of Pharmacy were invited. Prizes (First, Second and Consolation) were distributed to the winners of all the competitions held on these two days celebration, by the judges.The ceremony was concluded by the valedictory program. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Preeti Sengar. The Coordinator of the program was Dr. Rachna Navalakhe.
