Expert Talk: "Innovative Ideas in Operations Research"

Expert: Dr. Sufia Aziz, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Devi Ahilya University, Indore.

Department of Applied Mathematics and Computational Science has organized an Expert Lecture on the occasion of National Mathematics Day 2021to mark the 134th birth anniversary of great mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan. The lecture was held online on google meet platform on 23-12-2021 from 3:00 to 4:30pm.

The program was started with a welcome note by Dr. Smita Verma, Associate Professor and Head. She welcomed the speaker, Dr. Sufia Aziz, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Devi Ahilya University, Indore.

In her lecture on “Innovative Ideas in Operations Research”, she has discussed the various deterministic and stochastic operational research models. How these models are applicable in different fields of science and technology.

The lecture was organized for the PG students and faculty members of the department. The feedback was very positive and PG students want to attend more such lectures in future.
