As a part of three days National Science Day celebrations honoring Indian scientists, the Department of Applied Chemistry, SGSITS, Indore had organized a Debate Competition to promote scientific temperament, critical thinking, and public speaking. Event was held on 26th february in Spandan Hall and title of the debate was "Is today’s Youth ready to build a Viksit Bharat?"
Total 34 students(Two students in one group) participated in this competition, where participants followed a formal structure, with one speaker for and one against the motion from each group.
The panel of judges evaluated participants on the basis of clarity,content and rebuttals. They declared 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners of the competition.
The events was a grand succes, with the passionate arguments presentation by all the participants.
