Huge infrastructure at the prime location of the cleanest city in India (Indore, M.P.), highly dedicated teachers and supporting staff, a rich alumni community, well-equipped laboratories, top-class sports facilities, a ‘MIYAWAKI forest,’ and other similarly interesting ongoing practices keep SGSITS a standout institute for more than 70 years of its existence. The institute is proud to possess a long list of graduates who have attained many remarkable achievements while serving the nation and humanity in various roles such as teachers, administrators, scientists, and entrepreneurs.
Making Bharat a developed nation by 2047 through extraordinary efforts in the 'Amrit Kal' (upcoming 25 years) is the current national mission. The union and state governments have opened many unique opportunities for facilitating individuals and institutes to contribute in multiple ways in this direction. Accordingly, SGSITS has initiated the updating of its academic framework, which will deliver a variety of multitalented experts to the nation. SGSITS is also gearing up to build innovative products of either strategic and commercial significance. The best brains admitted under various programs will be motivated to take the lead and build small components of such products. Involving various stakeholders in an ecosystem, as well as a direct business model, may soon be activated for such indigenously generated products.
Availing the benefits of various innovative provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP), the academic framework of SGSITS may be updated to introduce credit courses for systematically involving students in community services through Orientation Camps, illustrating the importance of the ‘Nation First’ principle, the Science of Happiness, etc. Most importantly, I strongly believe that SGSITS is ideally positioned to become the first Multidisciplinary Education Research University (MERU) as envisioned in the NEP. We are working to make this possible in a short span of time.
All well-wishers of SGSITS are welcome to extend their supervision in refining our efforts to push the institute to greater heights.
With Regards,
